We are hiring a Home Support Worker to join Southern Community Care in Dunedin.

About Southern Community Care

Southern Community Care is a family-owned aged care and community support business based in Dunedin. Founded in 2022, we run 3 locations in Otago and employ a tight team that values doing the work well over scale.

About the role

You will visit clients in their own homes across the region: helping with showering and dressing, meals, light housework, shopping and getting to appointments. You will work to a schedule, keep clear notes, and be the person your clients look forward to seeing.

What you will bring

Empathy and good communication. A full driver licence, your own reliable car and a clean record. Comfortable working alone and managing your own schedule. Health and Wellbeing Level 2 or 3 an asset; training and travel allowance provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Available for a rotating roster including some weekends
  • NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 2 or 3 an asset (training funded)
  • Comfortable with personal cares and manual handling training
  • Satisfactory Police vetting and referee checks
